Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
P. M. Butler et al. 2012Upper molars with main cusps aligned and double (labial and lingual) cingulum, interrupted briefly above A labially. Differ from those of eutriconodontans and of most morganucodontans by the asymmetry of the crown, due to the large size of A, the poor development of cusp B (primitive or derived) and the concomitant mesial position of A. Characterised also by the reduction of cusp C (derived), by the hollowing on either side of the distal crest of A (derived), the absence of cusp F (derived), and the vestigial state of the mesial interlocking groove (derived). Cingular denticulations weak. Wear mainly on the top of the cusps.
