Heishanlestes changi
Taxonomy
Heishanlestes changi was named by Hu et al. (2005). Its type specimen is IVPP V 7480, a mandible (a nearly complete right dentary containing p1–4, m1–6), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Badaohao coal mine, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/conglomerate in the Shahai Formation of China. It is the type species of Heishanlestes.
