Parevenkaspis was named by Kramarenko (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: O Ashg Sepkoski's reference number: 2]. It is not extant. Its type is Evenkaspis (Parevenkaspis) egloni.

It was reranked as Evenkaspis (Parevenkaspis) by Holloway (2004).

It was assigned to Monorakinae by Kramarenko (1952) and Ludvigsen and Chatterton (1982); to Phacopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Evenkaspis by Holloway (2004).
