Phacopidina was named by Bancroft and Lamont (1949) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llde O Cara-m Sepkoski's reference number: 378,1055]. It is not extant. Its type is Phacopidina harnagensis.
It was assigned to Acastidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Phacopida by Sepkoski (2002).
