Blattinopsis ovalis
Taxonomy
Fulgorina ovalis was named by Brongniart (1894). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R53330, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN Brongniart coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.
It was considered a nomen nudum by Brongniart (1885); it was recombined as Blattinopsis ovalis by Handlirsch (1906), Lameere (1917), Meunier (1921), Handlirsch (1922) and Hörnschemeyer and Stapf (2001).
