Taxonomy
Podowrinella was named by Clarkson et al. (1977) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ldov-m S Wenl-l Sepkoski's reference number: 392,735]. It is not extant. Its type is Phacops straitonensis.

It was assigned to Eomonorachinae by Ludvigsen and Chatterton (1982); to Phacopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pterygometopidae by Clarkson et al. (1977) and Jell and Adrain (2002).
