Taxonomy
Chaetohelomyza electrica was named by Hennig (1965). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Berendt collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland. It is the type species of Chaetohelomyza.
