Synphoroides was named by Delo (1940) [Sepkoski's age data: D Gedi-u D Emsi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 394,1106]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Phacopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Dalmanitidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
