Taxonomy
Kentuckia hlavini was named by Dunkle (1964). It is not extant. Its type specimen is CMNH 8009. Its type locality is Skinners Run, which is in a Famennian basinal (siliceous) shale in the Ohio Shale Formation of Ohio.
