Luojiashania was named by Chang (1974) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ldov-u Sepkoski's reference number: 651]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); to Trilobita by Sepkoski (2002); and to Proetinae by Stocker et al. (2019).
