Taxonomy
Gastrodorus cretahispanicus was named by Klompmaker et al. (2011). Its type specimen is MGSB74541, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Koskobilo quarry, Alsasua, which is in an Albian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Eguino Formation of Spain.
