Paguristes wheeleri
Taxonomy
Paguristes wheeleri was named by Blow and Manning (1996). Its type specimen is USNM 484527, a set of appendages (propodus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 26874, Lanier Pit, which is in a Bartonian carbonate limestone in the Castle Hayne Formation of North Carolina.
