Taxonomy
Leptoneurula insignis was named by Martynov (1928). Its type specimen is PIN 2065/49, a forewing (forewing without anal region), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Tikhie Gory (PIN collection 2065), which is in a Roadian lagoonal claystone in the Baitugan Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Pseudomantis insignis by Martynov (1930); it was recombined as Delopterum insigne by Rasnitsyn (2004) and Prokop et al. (2017).
