Taxonomy
Anglopterum magnificum was named by Prokop et al. (2006). It is an impression. Its type locality is Crock Hey opencast pit, which is in a Westphalian A interdistributary bay mudstone in the Wigan Four-Foot Coal Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Anglopterum.
