Forcynthia cynthiae
Taxonomy
Forcynthia cynthiae was named by Sinitshenkova (2004). Its type specimen is NMMNH P-26908, a wing (incomplete right wing), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is NMMNH L-3433; Carrizo Arroyo, which is in an Asselian pond mudstone in the Bursum Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Forcynthia.
