Pseuderichthus was named by Dames (1836) [Sepkoski's age data: K Ceno Sepkoski's reference number: 531,619]. It is not extant. Its type is Pseuderichthus cretaceous.

It was assigned to Sculdidae by Glaessner (1969); to Concavicarida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Protozoeidae by Schram (2014).
