Orithopsis angelicus

Taxonomy
Necrocarcinus angelicus was named by Fraaije (2002). Its type specimen is MAB k.1008 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is ENCI Quarry (middle Meerssen Mb), which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate chalk in the Maastricht Formation of the Netherlands.

It was recombined as Orithopsis angelicus by Jagt et al. (2010), van Bakel et al. (2012), Karasawa et al. (2014) and Schweitzer et al. (2016).
