Aporolepas was named by Withers (1953) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-m-l T Ol-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Scalpellidae by Brooks et al. (1969) and Zullo and Kite (1985); to Cirripedia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Zeugmatolepadinae by Chan et al. (2021).
