Taxonomy
Phyloblatta mala was named by Becker-Migdisova (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 1292/4, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Poryvaeskiy Rudnik (PIN collection 1292), which is in an Artinskian pond siliciclastic in the Ishanovskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
