Ceratoconcha was named by Kramberger-Gorjanovic (1889) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1066].

It was assigned to Cirripedia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pyrgomatidae by McLaughlin et al. (2005).
