Ceratoconcha was named by Kramberger-Gorjanovic (1889) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is extant. It is the type genus of Ceratoconchinae.

It was assigned to Cirripedia by Sepkoski (2002); to Pyrgomatidae by McLaughlin et al. (2005); and to Ceratoconchinae by Chan et al. (2021).
