Taxonomy
Hypselocrinus cavus was named by Washburn (1968). It is not extant. Its type specimen is BYU 1492 (dorsal cup). Its type locality is Ridge west of Slide Canyon, which is in a Morrowan/Wolfcampian marine limestone in the Oquirrh Formation of Utah.
