Platythyrea scalpra

Taxonomy
Platythyrea scalprum was named by Lattke (2003). Its type specimen is AMNH DR-14-35, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (AMNH coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.

It was corrected as Platythyrea scalpra by Schmidt and Shattuck (2014).
