Taxonomy
Protendipes dasypterus was named by Rohdendorf (1962). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Galkino (PIN collection 2452), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Protendipes.
