Neorhynchocephalus occultator
Taxonomy
Hirmoneura occultator was named by Cockerell (1908). Its type specimen is UCM 18631, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Neorhynchocephalus occultator by Bequaert and Carpenter (1936) and Melander (1949).
