Taxonomy
Eumorphocorystes sculptus was named by Van Binkhost (1857). It is not extant. Its type locality is Maastricht (Emael member), which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate limestone in the Maastricht Formation of the Netherlands. It is the type species of Eumorphocorystes.
