Taxonomy
Lophoranina cinquecrista was named by Feldmann et al. (2011). Its type specimen is SMNS 67887, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality XXIX, Mokattam (bed AAAγ), which is in a Priabonian marine shale in the Maadi Formation of Egypt.
