Taxonomy
Callietheira granthami was named by van Dijk and Geertsema (1999). Its type specimen is NM 2558 ab, a forewing (complete forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Bulwer (Bul 111), which is in a Changhsingian delta plain shale in the Estcourt Formation of South Africa.
