Taxonomy
Typilobus marginatus was named by Morris and Collins (1991). Its type specimen is BMNH In 62163, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Silabukan River, NB.11541, which is in a Miocene marine sandstone in the Tungku Formation of Malaysia.
