Taxonomy
Camarocarcinus was named by Holland and Cvancara (1958) [Sepkoski's age data: T Dani]. It is not extant. Its type is Camarocarcinus arnesoni. It is the type genus of Camarocarcinidae.

It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Camarocarcinidae by Feldmann et al. (2007).
