Taxonomy
Parthenope jugula was named by Collins et al. (2003). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 66, Sandakan, which is in a Tortonian transition zone/lower shoreface siliciclastic in the Sandakan Formation of Malaysia.
