Pristapenesia inopinata

Taxonomy
Dominibythus inopinatus was named by Prentice and Poinar (1996). Its type specimen is USNM Brodzinsky/Lopen-Penha 7594, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (USNM Brodzinsky Lopez-Pena coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.

It was recombined as Pristapenesia inopinatus by Brothers and Janzen (1999); it was recombined as Pristapenesia inopinata by Engel and Grimaldi (2007), Engel et al. (2013) and Engel (2015).
