Cancer durhami

Taxonomy
Cancer (Metacarcinus) durhami was named by Nations (1975). Its type specimen is UCMP 10744, a claw, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP A-9733, Hot Springs Canyon, which is in a Zanclean coastal siliciclastic in the Etchegoin Formation of California.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2000); it was recombined as Cancer durhami by Schweitzer et al. (2010).
