Taxonomy
Lobocarcinus pustulosus was named by Feldmann and Fordyce (1996). Its type specimen is OU41147, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is I43/f112, which is in an Altonian marine limestone in the Caversham Sandstone Formation of New Zealand.
