Taxonomy
Litoricola glabra was named by Woodward (1873). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Portsmouth dockyard extension, which is in an Eocene marine horizon in the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Coeloma glabra by Woodward (1873) and Schweitzer et al. (2010).
