Taxonomy
Groenlandites astachovae was named by Vavilov (1978). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 9/820, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Stannakh-Khocho, caurus zone, Olenek river, Laptev sea, which is in an Aegean marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
