Taxonomy
Waagenophyllum teratoideum was named by Fontaine (1961). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Phnom on Sway Chek route, Sisophon region, which is in a Wordian/Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Sisophon Formation of Cambodia.

It was recombined as Waagenophyllum (Huayunophyllum) teratoideum by Minato and Kato (1965).
