Taxonomy
Homolodromia was named by Milne-Edwards (1880) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo R Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is extant. It is the type genus of Homolodromiidae, Homolodromioidea.

It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); to Dromiacea by Ahyong et al. (2007); and to Homolodromiidae by Feldmann et al. (2003) and Ng et al. (2009).
