Oncopareia was named by Bosquet (1854) [Sepkoski's age data: K Turo K Sn]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); to Thaumastochelidae by Schweitzer et al. (2010); and to Nephropidae by Tshudy and Sorhannus (2000), Feldmann et al. (2016) and Tshudy et al. (2022).
