Taxonomy
Goniatites uralicus was named by Karpinsky (1874).

It was recombined as Agathiceras (Agathiceras) uralicum by Ruzhentsev (1950); it was recombined as Agathiceras uralicum by Ruzhentsev (1956), Leonova (2002) and Leonova (2020).
