Taxonomy
Palaeomyra was named by Milne-Edwards (1861) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-m]. It is not extant. Its type is Palaeomyra bispinosa.

It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); to Leucosiidae by Müller (1984), Garassino et al. (2004) and Schweitzer et al. (2010); and to Leucosioidea by Karasawa et al. (2019).
