Taxonomy
Lissopsis transiens was named by Fric and Kafka (1887). It is the type species of Lissopsis, Paradoxilissopsa.

It was recombined as Paradoxilissopsa transiens by Schweitzer et al. (2011), Karasawa et al. (2014), Schweitzer et al. (2016) and Schweitzer et al. (2018).
