Taxonomy
Paralitogaster was named by Glaessner (1969) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr l Tr m]. It is not extant. Its type is Liogaster limicola.

It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); to Glypheidae by Schweitzer et al. (2010); and to Litogastroidae by Karasawa et al. (2013) and Feldmann et al. (2015).
