Acanthostega gunnari
Taxonomy
Acanthostega gunnari was named by Jarvik (1952). Its type specimen is MGUH VP 6033, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wimans Bjerg, Gauss Halvø, which is in a Famennian terrestrial horizon in the Britta Dal Formation of Greenland. It is the type species of Acanthostega.
