Sodakus was named by Bishop (1978) [Sepkoski's age data: K Maes-l Sepkoski's reference number: 354,961]. It is not extant. Its type is Sodakus tatankayotankaensis.
It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); to Dorippidae by Schweitzer et al. (2010); and to Ibericancridae by Feldmann et al. (2017) and Luque et al. (2017).
