It was reranked as the subfamily Chresmodellinae by Gorochov (1993), Ansorge (1996) and Ansorge (1996).

It was assigned to Chresmododea by Bode (1953); and to Aerophasmatidae by Gorochov (1993), Ansorge (1996) and Ansorge (1996).
