Balanerpeton woodi
Taxonomy
Balanerpeton woodi was named by Milner and Sequeira (1994). Its type specimen is GLAHM V2051 (previously SPW 2272), a partial skeleton (complete skull and anterior axial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East Kirkton site (Units 70-82: East Kirkton Limestone), which is in a Brigantian spring shale/limestone in the East Kirkton Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Balanerpeton.
