Taxonomy
Jurapseudes was named by Schram et al. (1986) [Sepkoski's age data: J Aale J Bath-l Sepkoski's reference number: 724]. Its type is Ophthalmapseudes friedericianus. It is the type genus of Jurapseudidae, Jurapseudoidea.

It was assigned to Jurapseudidae by Schram et al. (1986) and Etter (1988); and to Tanaidacea by Sepkoski (2002).
