Mycomya fossilis

Taxonomy
Mycomyia fossilis was named by Statz (1944). Its type specimen is LACMIP 3660, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Statz Collection), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - small shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Mycomya fossilis by Oliveira and Amorim (2021).
