Taxonomy
Shepherdia trivittata was named by Ponomarenko (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 3699/1, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Lugovskaya (PIN collection 3699), which is in an Aalenian terrestrial horizon in the Glushinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
